I think of soup as a home food full of love and soul! Who can deny enjoying a bowl of soup on a cold winter night? One intriguing factor about soups is their historical origin, dating back to old times; at the same time, soups are sentimental and warm and come as a side dish or a main dish. Lentils are a famous ingredient in soups, as they add a creamy texture to the soup. Lentils are full of vitamins, iron, and protein part of the legumes are a good source of a plant-based diet for those who are vegan. Soup ingredients can be blended, refrigerated, and reheated to use for the days after. Croutons, crackers, or a simple pitta bread are good. You could add seeds and herbs to your soup. I used fried shallots as a garnish, while my herb of choice was dill and sage, as they have different tastes. One adds sharpness to the taste, while the other has a subtle earthy flavor.
Do not forget to eat your soup hot 😉 😊 !
Ingredient
1- One cup of red lentil
2- Shallots
3- Sage 🌿
4- Cumin
5- Lime Juice
6-Vegan butter
7-Salt and chili sauce
8- Dill🌿
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the red lentils until it is soft
Step 2
Fry the shallots and sage and chili sauce and cumin together with vega butter
Step 3
Mash the red lentil
Step 4
Add the shallots to the lentils and dill to the bowl and serve
